WANT TO GET HIGH?
In the past we always had the Become A Nine online video contest, hosted on the Swatch Nines channels and judged by our team. But this year we’re going to do it a little different and give the opportunity to the core media to help us find the new generation. As usual, the video contest, will offer four invitations—two for skiers and two for snowboarders. In the new Video Clip competition, judges picked by core media will be handing out two coveted invites to join the Swatch Nines’24 in Schilthorn!
This wild card entry is the only way to get into Swatch Nines in Schilthorn, Switzerland, without a direct invite to join for a week filled with progression sessions alongside the world’s top riders. The videos will be analysed by the core media’s team and the best will be posted!
From the best posted, the audience will be asked to let us know their favourites, which will be weighed into the judging by the judges.
WHO CAN ENTER?
The online qualification is open to everyone who has the capability and skills to ride a setup like Swatch Nines, pros and amateurs from all over the world. Only the winners will be published on our socials ,but the best 5-10 entries will be posted on the core media’s instagram channel, so make sure it's a banger!
WHAT KIND OF TRICKS SHOULD BE SHOWN?
As Swatch Nines is a Slopestyle and Big Air event, we want to see an accumulation of your best tricks and riding skills on jumps, rails and other creative features that showcases your overall skill. Show us your skills, technical diversity, and a lot of style in your submission and hopefully, we'll see you in Schilthorn, Switzerland!
WHAT SHOULD THE REEL LOOK LIKE?
- Create a video of max 60 seconds.
- Don’t add any music to the video.
- The video should be in 1920x1080 and not longer than 60 seconds, and remember it's all about the action!
- The editing is not the important part, it's all about the riding. So DIY style, phone clips, GoPro, or any other camera will do the job. You can edit the video yourself or let your friends do the computer work.
HOW TO SUBMIT THE INSTAGRAM REEL?
- Go to wetransfer.com and add your video.
- For the SKI Wildcard: Enter your email and send it to: ba9@downdays.eu
- For the SNB Wildcard: Enter your email and send it to: content@methodmag.com
- Type your message: Your contact information (full name, email, telephone, age and Instagram Handle).
- Deadline: 22nd of March.
HOW THE JUDGING WORKS:
Initially, the core media team will conduct an internal evaluation of all submitted videos. Subsequently, they will showcase the top 5-10 videos deemed the best. Following this, the audience will have the opportunity to provide their input, which will carry weight in the final judging process conducted by the core media team.?
